Two Important Features To Backup Your Data In Computer Drives
By Andreas Lee

computer drives
People use computer for their own purposes, so data lose possibility in your computer drives must be considered and also the consequences if this happen. This is the number one and very important factor which needs computer user’s attention. Whether your computer drives are used to keep your personal documents, your final exam files or your business files, your data in each of your drives are really valuable for you.
There are many ways to backup your data using computer hard drive. Along with installing additional computer drives for data storage, you can also use backup software. The second option is using external hard drive for data backup place. This kind of external computer drives can be connected through firewire, e-SATA, or USB cable.
As mentioned before that for the first option, you can combine backup software with a second computer drive. Setting them up is easier than you think. The good thing of this option is the minimum need of extra desk space and power consumption that the external drive requires. Other good thing of these computer drives are their performances which are much faster than external hard drive. Combined with backup software, you can make your backup data done easier by using automatic backup schedule and drag-drop feature.
Besides, other options are available to mirror your data in your primary computer drives. It works as additional computer drives but harder to set up. As soon as the files have been saved, it automatically duplicates the content of your computer drives to the others. Purchasing a new computer is a good choice to take this backup option advantage since a new computer has this backup feature available.
The second option which is also a best option is using external hard drive for backup storage. External hard drives are slower than computer drives because while in backup process your data has to travel through cables. But the most needed feature by using external hard drives is your data can be taken handy along with you. Some external hard drives also have data mirror feature, one of them is Western digital My Book Mirror Edition.

Ways to Prevent Computer Hard Drives Failure
By Andreas Lee

computer hard disk drives
As a library of software and information, computer hard drives are used by many people almost every single day. They use magnetic materials to record and store information even when the computer is turned off. Information is stored in random access memory (RAM). This information is stored as magnetized regions of the media called magnetic domains.
Computer hard drives are increasing both in terms of speed and storage capacity, but these technological advances unfortunately cannot eradicate the possibility of hard disk failure, which is ultimately inevitable. This can be avoided as much as possible if you pay attention on these things:
- Do not over store your files. Trying to leave at least 15% empty space for your files to breathe.
- Computer hard drives would need to be regularly defragmented since all of the files in your computer will become fragmented. Little pieces of them scattered all over your hard drive which will gradually slow down the computer over time.
- Often scan your computer hard drives by using anti-virus software since it is used daily. It is at risk for hardware failure, infection by viruses, and similar disorder.
- Make sure your CPU which has computer hard drives inside is placed in secured place because they are sensitive devices, and even the lightest little bug can cause tremendous problems for the files they contain.
Providing a backup storage to back up your files regularly is necessary to avoid any possibilities that might occur.

Computer Hard Drive Explanation
By Andreas Lee
Computer hard drive is the lifeblood of any computer, from the tiniest laptop to the largest computer server. Without a hard drive to store data, even the most technologically advanced computer is worthless, so it is important to choose computer hard drive carefully. As you know, it is a busiest place in the computer system and has many moving parts that must operate very precisely to locate and store data efficiently. Along with its storage capacity enhancement, other aspect such as its transfer speed, interface type, and buffer cache are also increased.

This heart of computer rapidly records data as magnetic pulses on spinning metal platters. It is made up of a number of rapidly rotating platters that have a set of read/write heads on both sides of each platter. Each platter is divided into a series of concentric rings called tracks. Each track is further divided into sections called sectors, and each sector is sub-divided into bytes.
A motor spins the platters at speeds ranging from 4500 to 10 000 rotations per minute. The faster a hard drive spins, the faster you can access and transfer data. Many computer hard drive manufacturers are now making platters out of glass and ceramic because these materials can be made thinner than aluminum platters and are better to resist the heat generated during operation of computer hard drive.
Being the most important part of a computer makes the computer hard drive the biggest suspect when the entire system performance is slowing down. The solution of such situation is to defrag computer hard drive which has been proved to be the prime cure for a laggardly computer. Even if you asked a computer expert for the solution, most of them may probably go for disk defragmentation first before taking any further diagnoses.
Always take care on your computer hard drive is the best way to prevent your valuable data loss.
