Recently, most people who buy external drives only interested on the product’s model. No wonder if many hard drives manufacture companies are also competing in the shape and model design of the external drives in order to attract buyers, other than additional features and specifications.

External drives have various models, either portable external hard drives or external desktop hard drives, which have various colors according to the design. They are designed like a dictionary, calculator, speaker, etc. You can choose which matches your desire.

I really like external drives with most of its part are black or silver color and combined with a few matched colors. Among the products I like, one of them is LaCie Hard Disk. Many external hard drives lovers may not choose this product as their favorite because the design is very minimalist like a black box which has no feature. May be at the first sight you feel that the design is not lovely, but its simple design doesn’t make you bored while using it in quite a long time.

This product is one of the external drives I put in my wanted item list. Its perfect black color fits for black computer or black laptop, and it has a small blue glowing light on the front-bottom.

This external drives design gives you the quiet impression despite fan noise heard when using it. The rotation speed is 7200 rpm, lightweight (about 1 kilogram, classified as light external desktop hard drives) and has a large storage capacity. It is compatible to Windows 2000 or higher, and available in 500 GB and 1 TB capacity.
